About Vessels For Honor Rafting Co:
Our name comes from the biblical passage in 2 Timothy 2:21. It reflects the owner's passion for Jesus Christ and a desire to glorify God in all we do. Our staff is selected partially based on how well they can support our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Hospitality, and Winsomeness. We are headquartered in Colorado at Texas Creek, located between Canon City and Salida on highway 50. We offer whitewater rafting trips on the Arkansas River through Bighorn Sheep Canyon and the Royal Gorge. We are currently recruiting both full time as well as weekend and on-call employees. *First year guides are required to attend a 5-day rafting clinic at a cost of $275. On river training, including Swiftwater rescue, will continue on the Arkansas (unpaid) until ready to guide commercially (usually 1-3 weeks). Income potential depends on the number of trips you guide. Since training will continue into June, you will need to cover your expenses until you begin to guide. Full-time first year guides may make $1,000 plus tips during the summer. Returning guides will make more based on their experience and job responsibilities.
